Grading the Chiefs through the 1st half of 2010

The first half of the season started off with the highest of highs as the Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Diego Chargers on Monday Night Football to open the season at the New Arrowhead Stadium. Now, the first half ended on the lowest of lows, with the Chiefs losing in overtime in a game where the Oakland Raiders tried their hardest to give the Chiefs the easy win.

Chiefs fight, can’t hold on

A loss is a loss is a loss, but the Chiefs played a very good game today. Despite what the final score read or how many drops Dwayne Bowe had, the Kansas City Chiefs took the defending AFC champion Indianapolis Colts to the wire today.

They played in what was perhaps the biggest and most important game in NFL history. Super Bowl I.

Now…they’re playing in the most worthless football game besides the Pro Bowl, the fourth preseason game. Starters usually don’t last past a handful of series. Effort is lacking as most players are trying not to get hurt and the third and fourth stringers make terrible decisions that are the outcome of trying to make the roster by making a big play.
