Another NFL week in the books and another weak showing by the AFC West.
San Diego Chargers
The San Diego Chargers simply baffle me. Don’t get me wrong, I love watching the failure, but the Chargers lead the NFL in offensive yards and defensive yards allowed… Yet each week the team finds a way to melt-down.
In week 7, the Chargers rookie WR Richard Goodman forgets he is in the NFL, not college and flips away a ball after hitting the ground, untouched. RB Jacob Hester ignores the ball after he didn’t catch a lateral… and then even worse… later, a false start to pushes the game tying field goal out of range.
Chargers lose 33-20 to the New England Patriots
The Chargers have given up on themselves. San Diego residents don’t go to the games. It’s time for the national media to jump off the Chargers bandwagon as well!
Oakland Raiders at Denver Broncos
In pre-season, we thought the Kansas City Chiefs and Raiders were the only two improved teams in the AFC West, at first it appeared as if the Denver Broncos were actually a pretty good team… Now, they look like the team who showed up in the 2nd half of the 2009 season… A team who opened the season at 6-0 and missed the playoffs.
Darren McFadden looks great for the Raiders… If he could only stay healthy. He will, no doubt, be a handful for the Chiefs.
