Sunday the Kansas City Chiefs celebrated their first victory of they year. Today, Ryan Succop was named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his 5-5 outing that included a career long 54 yard kick in the 3rd quarter. In addition to his PAT on Dwayne Bowe’s TD, Succop scored a league high for kickers at 16 points. This all comes as a huge relief to Chiefs fans as Succop started the season 2-5 entering the match-up against the Vikings. Hopefully this hardware and encouragement will allow Succop to forget those three misses and be a consistent threat in the kicking game.

And I believe 100% that had he missed a single kick and the Chiefs lost, he would have been cut…
