Kansas City Chiefs‘ holdout Safety Jarrad Page has signed his contract tender this afternoon according to Jason LaConfora from the NFL Network. It is unclear what will happen next, but the most likely scenario is that the Chiefs have found a trade partner.
It is doubtful that Page will remain with the Chiefs after this lengthy holdout, in which Page referenced unfair treatment from head coach, Todd Haley, during the preseason last year. Page reportedly had an ankle injury that held him out of the preseason and was allegedly criticized in front of the team by Haley.
Page is still reportedly looking for a trade and it is unclear when he will report. He now takes up a spot on the Chiefs’ 53-man roster until he is moved.
