AFC West Week 10

For week 10 the AFC West gets two divisional games which are sure to be fun to watch.  The first one kicks off tomorrow night as the Oakland Raiders travel to San Diego to take on the Chargers. Both teams are locked atop the division with a 4-4 record and the winner depending on the Chiefs/Broncos outcome, could sit alone the top of the division for now.  Both teams are coming off of losses and are in dire need of a victory.  My prediction: Chargers 31 Raiders 20

The next game is the Kansas City Chiefs hosting the Denver Broncos.  The Chiefs are coming off a surprising home loss to the Dolphins last week and will be looking to regain momentum this week at home.  The Broncos rebounded well in Oakland with a victory last week and have now pulled within one game of the rest of the division.  My prediction: Chiefs 27 Broncos 23

I think Oakland is going to have some problems stopping the Chargers offense much like they did last week against Denver.  I think the Chiefs will have a good game plan for Tebow and keep it somewhat close but in the end, the homefield advantage will prevail.

  • With Philip Rivers getting going finally, all AFC West fans should be worried.

The Broncos offense seems to be finding a groove as well.

That being said, all the AFC West teams still look bad… 8-8 may win this division.

  • Once Darren Mcfadden comes back I think the Raiders are going to be the best team in the AFC West, Chargers are completely lost at this time as well as the Chiefs, as for the Broncos they just aren’t a playoff caliber team this year they might sneak a few more wins out just not good enough on either side of the ball. Should come down to last few weeks. I think your close Travis 8-8 could easily win the division.
