The Raiders offensive line is not good. They’re going to get Jason Campbell killed, but even with their pathetic offensive line Darren McFadden still had a decent day rushing for 95 yards and having six catches for 55 yards and a touchdown.
Zach Miller is one of the best young tight ends in the AFC and I think he is going to have a great year but it all goes back to their Offensive line Mario Henderson and Langston Walker are terrible, Tom Cable still has a lot of work to do but at least they have a good punter in Shane Lechler.
San Diego Chargers
It’s the same old song and dance for Norv Turner and “passionate”/immature quarterback Philip Rivers. Vincent Jackson and Marcus McNeil were missed especially in the last play of the game, Philip Rivers still managed to throw for 298 yards and two touchdowns, it maybe sunny in San Diego today but the Chargers’ fans are already flipping out.
Ryan Mathews had a solid debut: Mathews ran for 75 yards on 19 carries and caught a two-yard pass, he is a strong kid. The Chargers Special teams got gashed and their run Defense better start figuring out how to stop somebody or they are not going to make the playoffs.
Kyle Orton played well and was consistent, the hype with Tim Tebow was short lived and only lasted a handful of plays: the Problem with the Broncos is there Special teams and the lack of a solid pass rush!
David Gerrard had all day to throw the football and the fact is the Jaguars don’t have any threats at all at Wide receiver, but it still only came down to who was going to make a play to tie the game and at this point the Broncos lack play makers and a solid running game.the Peyton Hillis for Brady Quinn trade is not looking good after the first week.
Kansas City Chiefs
What a way to open up newly renovated Arrowhead Stadium! Setting the all time Chiefs’ punt return record with 160 yards, Dexter McCluster and Javier Arenas, went nuts on the Chargers special teams , the Chiefs are young, fast and fun to watch. Jamaal Charles proved once and for all that his performance in the last half of 2009 was no fluke.
Phillip Rivers was harassed all day and threw a temper tantrum like a four year old child, when the Chargers play in Arrowhead it’s a fact that’s were the best Charger Quarterback meltdowns always happen just ask Ryan Leaf “KNOCK IT OFF.”
