Not sitting pretty since we began this column. We are now $60 in the hole and going back into our pocket this week for a small parlay.
In week 12, we only hit on one our three picks… The Chiefs giving 2 points to the Seahawks. Only two games in the AFC West in week 13 give us the chance to nearly get back to even… Sad, but true.
Oakland Raiders @ San Diego Chargers (-13)
Ya, I’ve said it before, but this time you may want to go the other way. I hate big spreads in the NFL. At 13 points favored, I simply cannot take the San Diego Chargers to cover against the Oakland Raiders, especially since the Raiders have already beaten the Chargers 35-27 in week 5.
Both teams are 3-0 against the spread vs. AFC West teams in 2010, so something has to give…

Denver Broncos @ Kansas City Chiefs (-9)
The Denver Broncos blew out the Kansas City Chiefs in week 10, going up 35-0 early and finishing 49-29. In the re-match at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, I do not expect the outcome to be similar, but I think the game will be closer than 9 points.
I am taking the Chiefs by 7, as mentioned in this week’s 5 Reasons: Denver column.

I will take the Chargers and, since I have the Chiefs winning by 9, I am going to have to jump off one side of the fence. I’ll say the Chiefs cover because I had them winning by more initially.
Joshua, now you know this means one will cover and one won’t… We have both been equally bad at this!
