Week Eight: Spooky Good Weekend Coming Up!

The worst part of this upcoming football Sunday is that Chiefs fans will have to wait an extra day to catch their team. The Kansas City Chiefs have a Halloween matchup against the San Diego Chargers on Monday Night Football. Monday’s game should be one of the best MNF games we’ve seen, especially after the last two matchups ESPN gave us. Jets/Dolphins was bad enough two weeks ago, then they laid the Ravens/Jaguars turd on us last week. Chargers/Chiefs should be an exciting game not only for us Chiefs fans but for NFL fans as a whole.

The two met a few weeks ago in a 20-17 Chargers victory after a stupid interception from Matt Cassel. However, since then the Chiefs are still the best team the Chargers have beaten all season. Their other previous wins over the Vikings, Dolphins and Broncos can’t scare Chiefs fans as those three are considered as the worst teams in the NFL. This game is at Arrowhead, on Halloween night and broadcasted on Monday Night Football. The crowd will be crazy loud and should give the Chiefs the advantage.

Fantasy wise I would caution any owners of Chiefs players this week. I told you all to play Matt Cassel last week as a bye week fill in and that failed miserably. Jackie Battle didn’t help fantasy owners much either. However, even without a touchdown, Dwayne Bowe still performs like a fantasy stud WR. Therefore, don’t start Cassel this week unless you have no other option. Stay with Battle as a #3RB or flex option. Never, never let Bowe see the bench; start him every week from here on out baring an injury.

Week eight Kansas City Chiefs Fantasy Projections:

Steve Breaston: 3 receptions for 35 yards, 1TD
Jerheme Urban: 2 receptions for 25 yards
Leonard Pope: 2 receptions for 15 yards

MAILBAG:

Brad ask…
I have been offered Aaron Rodgers and Jeremy Maclin for Jason Witten and Greg Jennings.

I have Mike Wallace and Stevie Johnson already on my roster. What you think. I kind of like it

Brad, I love the trade for you to my man. I wish I had fools in my leagues that would make me this type of offer. I have a man crush on Jennings, but you have similar WRs still on your roster and are getting the best fantasy QB in Rodgers. I’d be concerned about losing Witten if you require a TE, but you still come out on top of this trade, well done.
