Week Fourteen: Hail Yes!

Yes the Kansas City Chiefs got what could be considered a meaningless win over the Chicago Bears due to a Hail Mary pass from Tyler Palko to Dexter McCluster. However, I’m more excited that my Beantown Banana Slugs just finished their second consecutive 10-3 season. I have the pleasure of the top overall seed and a first round bye in the playoffs. I’m looking to be the only back to back champion in my league’s nine year history.

Enough about me, this is about the Chiefs. However, it would be easier to talk about my Slugs this week than the positives going on at Arrowhead. The Chiefs have a match-up this weekend versus the New York Jets, and it won’t be easy. The best player on the Chiefs roster now is Dwayne Bowe and Darrelle Revis should have no problem shutting him down. Tyler Palko is good for at least two INTs this weekend. I’ve never been a big Mark Sanchez fan, I don’t think he is that good, with that said he should have no problem against the Chiefs secondary. Now the front seven have played well, they showed that against the Bears, but Sanchez is head and shoulders above Caleb Haine.

Fantasy wise I hope you’re in the playoffs this week or are trying to earn a spot if your league’s playoffs start next week. If you’re in the playoffs or still in the hunt the chances are you have avoided having any Chiefs on your roster not named Bowe. If you do have Bowe on your roster I can’t suggest starting him this week. He is a WR 4 or Flex 2 at the very best and that’s pushing it. He will see targets; I just don’t have faith in the catches.

I’m cutting this short today fans as it is finals week for this graduate student.

This week is either the first round of your fantasy playoffs or the last week of your fantasy regular season. I’ve seen tiebreakers help and hurt many a team over the years, do you have a tiebreaker story?

  • My fantasy playoffs still one week away and AP couldn’t have picked a worse time to get hurt. On that note My other league I am 10-3 Clinched playoffs. Hope we can get a League going on Chiefs command . I like 10 person league better then 12, So many injuries have destroyed our already thin rosters.

What Fantasy program does everyone like? ESPN, CBS, NFL.com or Yahoo?? I personally like ESPN
