Week 14: What a Huge Sigh of Relief

A revenge win against the Broncos was a huge sigh of relief for us Kansas City Chiefs fans, especially now that they own a two game lead in the AFC West.  I too had a huge sigh of relief on Sunday as I won my fantasy game to avoid a crazy three team tie that would have shut me out of the playoffs, instead now I’m the one seed with a bye this week.  However, another sigh of relief is on the way when finals are completed this week and I finally graduate college this weekend.

My fantasy projects were downright awful last week.  Whenever I predict huge numbers nothing happens and when I get more conservative the all explode.  So my best advice is to do the opposite of what I predict since that has seemed to be the norm all season.  However, I would like to point out that I did predict Josh McDaniels getting fired.

The Chiefs have a tough game this Sunday as the Chargers aren’t the same team the Chiefs beat in week one.  Of course, neither are the Chiefs, but the Chargers are getting some of their playmakers back and healthy.  I’d say stick with what has worked in your lineup so far this season.  Matt Cassel shouldn’t be a fantasy option this week, but don’t give up on Dwayne Bowe after one shutout week.  Continue to start Jamaal Charles, but I would recommend benching Thomas JonesTony Moeaki should only be considered if you have no other choice.  Please, don’t start the Chiefs Defense/Special Teams this week.

I’ve got to cut this short fans due to finals, but I wish you all the best as many of you are starting your playoff week or maybe still need that one last win to still qualify.
