Week One: Locked and Loaded

The Champ is back this year to help you along on your fantasy football journey. The lockout is over, free agency has settled and nearly every fantasy draft has taken place. Week one is upon us and many of us are wondering if the hours of research will pay off after draft day.

Many of us are homers when it comes to fantasy football, I’m not even immune. I drafted Dexter McCluster in the last round and my old Bengal ties led me to select Cedric Benson and Jerome Simpson. For the homers out there below are the fantasy projections for our Kansas City Chiefs.

Season:

  • Matt Cassel: 3215 yards passing, 22 TDs, 13 INTs, 120 yards rushing
  • Jamaal Charles: 1400 yards rushing, 7 TDs, 40 receptions for 450 yards 1 TD
  • Thomas Jones: 775 yards rushing, 5 TDs, 15 receptions for75 yards
  • Le’Ron McClain: 360 yards rushing, 2TDs, 20 receptions for 135 yards
  • Dexter McCluster: 175 yards rushing, 2 TDs, 25 receptions for 225 yards 1 TD
  • Dwayne Bowe: 85 receptions for 1100 yards, 9 TDs
  • Steve Breaston: 55 receptions for 700 yards, 2 TDs
  • Jonathan Baldwin: 35 receptions for 425 yards 4 TDs
  • Jerheme Urban: 20 receptions for 165 yards
  • Leonard Pope: 25 receptions for 245 yards, 3 TDs
  • Ryan Succop: 18/23 FG, 35/35 XP
  • Chiefs Defense: 40 sacks, 15 INTs, 10 fumble recoveries, 335 points allowed

Week One:

  • Cassel: 215 yards passing, 1 TD, 1 INT
  • Charles: 110 yards rushing, 1 TD, 4 receptions for 45 yards
  • Jones: 40 yards rushing, 1 TD
  • McCluster: 15 yards rushing, 2 receptions for 20 yards
  • Bowe: 5 receptions for 70 yards, 1 TD
  • Breaston: 3 receptions for 40 yards
  • Urban: 2 receptions for 25 yards
  • Pope: 2 receptions for 15 yards
  • Succop: 1/1 FG, 3/3 XP
  • Defense: 3 sacks, 1 INT, 1 fumble recovery, 17 points allowed
