Kansas City Chiefs Final 53: 1st Draft

So before the Kansas City Chiefs make their final cuts on Saturday, I’ve decided to bring you the first of a few versions of the Chiefs final 53 man roster. Of course, there will likely be some waiver pickups before it’s all said and done, but these are the guys I want wearing the Red and Gold…for now. The order in which the players appear will be where I want them on the depth chart.

What to Watch for: Green Bay Packers @ Kansas City Chiefs

Hey everyone, my name is Andy Kelley. I will be your weekly Wednesday blogger, and when the season comes around I will most likely be doing a What To Watch For/ Reports From Practice post. Those posts will usually be about who is running with the first team in practice, and what we should watch for during the next weekends game. I will also try to include a little scouting report on our opposition….

Chiefs Position Battles vs. Green Bay

They played in what was perhaps the biggest and most important game in NFL history. Super Bowl I.

Now…they’re playing in the most worthless football game besides the Pro Bowl, the fourth preseason game. Starters usually don’t last past a handful of series. Effort is lacking as most players are trying not to get hurt and the third and fourth stringers make terrible decisions that are the outcome of trying to make the roster by making a big play.

I would like to take the time to thank Chiefs Command for letting me being a full time Contributor to their great Blog, even though I’m a hated Denver Broncos fan!

Chiefs on the Web: Monday 8/29

Welcome to the first Chiefs on the Web post here at Chiefs Command. I’ll be your host for these links and you can count on me to bring you fresh Chiefs related links from around the web every Monday evening. So, after a long day of working for The Man, make sure to grab your laptop and let me guide you through the interwebs Chiefs style while you watch Monday Night Football. They will still be up and fresh on Tuesday morning as well if you want to grab a cup of coffee and try to look busy when old Lumbergh comes by the office to harass you. This way you don’t have to scour the web yourself, I’ve done all the work for you.

Positive signs come from Philly game

Hello. My name’s Jason Tarwater. One of the reasons I decided to do my blogs on Monday was primarily to break down the Kansas City Chiefs games during the season, share what I thought.

However, this week, I’m going to be a little late with it, but still. This will be the M.O. for this particular blog, just to give you a head’s up of what to look for.

Do the Chiefs have a pass rush now?

Last season, the Kansas City Chiefs ranked 31st in sacks, yet the 22 sacks they recorded were a vast improvement upon their record low 10 sacks the year before. As a new season is about to begin, there have been no significant additions to the front 7 of the Chiefs. The Chiefs had myriad needs to address in the draft and GM Scott Pioli did a alright job of addressing those needs.

Morons & Posers

I sat watching the Philadelphia Eagles play against the Kansas City Chiefs this evening at my favorite watering hole… The bar’s name, TBA… Why TBA? The owner seems to be a bit of a d-dag, and has only recently allowed his kitchen manager (chef) to redo a bar menu which was years behind where it should have been… and their website has listed the menu and specials as “Coming Soon” for the last 3+ years.

Three Things: Chiefs vs. Eagles

The New Arrowhead is set to make its preseason debut tonight against the Philadelphia Eagles. Here are your Three Things:

1. Todd Haley has said the starters will play into the third quarter. This is going to give us a good acid test of what this team is really going to be capable of in 2010. The first string offense looked impressive against Tampa Bay last week, but has struggled overall in the preseason and training camp…..

5 things learned from tonight’s Chiefs practice

It took a little coaxing, but eventually I convinced my buddy Alex Thompson to go with me to the open-to-the-public Kansas City Chiefs practice tonight at Arrowhead Stadium.

My main goal for the evening was not to watch the Chiefs practice, but to check out the renovations to Arrowhead Stadium because, let’s face it, it is much easier to tour the stadium with 10,000ish fans in attendance, rather than 75,000 fans.
